Except for Naga Chaitanya’s Majili all the other cinemas ended up as minimum profit ventures to Disasters. Nani’s Jersey which was expected to perform big, ended up as a just Hit with minimum profits. Chitralahari starring Sai Dharam Tej was the do or die movie for the star. Though the movie didn’t help him, it didn’t even damage him more.

Maharshi, landmark 25th movie of Mahesh Babu bombed big time. The movie which was sold for around 100 Crores failed to enter the profit zones. In almost all the areas Maharshi failed to register Breakeven numbers. With last Thursday Maharshi ended it’s full run. Except for some Major centres new releases have replaced the movie.

Raghava Lawrence’s Kanchana 2 from kanchana franchises, which was released among huge expectations ended up as an average grosser.

Another big release of the summer was Suriya’s NGK. The movie had high expectations Sorrounded. But, movie released to severe negative talk and failed to have openings atleast. Several other small movies like Falaknuma Das, ABCD, Lisa, Abhinetri 2 which were released in this summer, went without any traces.

On a whole, Summer 2019 is the worst nightmare for Telugu cinema. With almost 250 Crores of business, only one movie brought good returns to the Distributors and producers. Rest all will remain as the bar memories for the producers, Distributor’s, exhibitor’s.
