BJP Andhra Pradesh has taken a rigid stand with regard to TTD lands auction. BJP Andhra Pradesh State president Kanna Lakshmi Narayana has threatened TTD board not to go ahead with TTD lands auction. Kanna has also stated that the board shouldn’t sell the properties since those are the donations by devotees. Kanna also pointed if those lands of TTD are kept for auction, there is a possibility that some other religious centre could be built on that land.

Pointing all possibilities, BJP AP has strongly registered their opinion not to auction the temple lands. BJP has also raised the questions about the honorarium of Rs 5000 provided to church pastors by YSRCP led Andhra Pradesh Government. Pointing this, BJP has questioned Andhra Pradesh government and TTD board, “When the YSRCP government is feeding the church pastors for free why it should auction the lands of TTD?”.

Similarly, Devotees have also questioned for what purpose this money from TTD land auction would be used for. Devotees have also expressed that the auction cost of all lands together is only Rs 19 crores, what difference this Rs 19 crores will bring for a rich board like TTD.

TTD board is yet to respond on the questions from BJP and devotees. On the other hand, there is also a allegation that these lands would be sold to the internal members of YSRCP for the base price irself.
