Lack of intensity in Suneil Shetty Characterisation.

Ar Murugadoss has come with a bang. Darbar is written all over as Ar Murugadoss mark. Though the story is very loose and predictable, Murugadoss has worked his magic with packed high intense screenplay. In there recent past, among many directors who worked with Rajinikanth, Ar Murugadoss is the only director who had utilized Rajinikanth to the fullest.

Screenplay by Murugadoss is fantastic, as he keeps on building interesting moments with right intervals. At the same time, equal importance has been given to the romantic track between Nayanathara and Rajinikanth. Fitting good romantic scenes in such a high action coo drama is an art and Murugadoss has pulled it off in style. Similarly, Father – Daughter scenes between Rajinikanth and Nivetha Thomas have also been pulled off in a decent manner. Towards the climax, scenes between Rajnikanth and Nivetha Thomas are well written.

Coming to the performances, everyone involved are experienced actors. Each have delivered their usual best. Rajinikanth even at this age looks stylish as same as in 80’s and 90’s. Style and grace of Rajnikanth in Action scenes are in Songs is his gods gift. Nivetha Thomas gets a good role and delivers a fantastic performance. Irrespective of short length, Nayanathara has given a stand out performance with her elegant looks. Suneil Shetty was just okay as basically the character lacks the intensity it had too.

Anirudh has delivered fantastic album, Evey song has been treated well and rightly places on screen. Editing work by Sreekar Prasad is very neat to keep up the momentum a cop drama needs. Santosh Sivan camera has done magic in showcasing Rajinikanth like in 80’s.

Final word:

Feast for Rajinikanth fans. This will turn to be Rajinikanth range movie at box office as well. Even in AP/TG Darbar will have good run, Irrespective of Telugu Biggies.
