Telangana High Court shut down after Staff contract COVID-19

As per the latest news, Telangana High Court was shut down after 10 staff members were tested positive for the coronavirus. The High Court was shut down immediately after the results came. There is not any information about when the High Court will be reopened again.

It is already known that Telangana is one of the worst-hit states by a coronavirus in India. With minimal tests and exorbitant positivity rate, Telangana is proving to be as dangerous as Maharashtra and Delhi. The community transmission in the state is reportedly happening at a very high pace. And this is very evident from the scenes of Telangana High Court being shut down today.

About 50 people working at the High Court have reportedly undergone coronavirus testing. And out of them, 10 staff members were tested positive for the virus. The High Court was shut down immediately after these results have come on Wednesday. The officials are taking necessary steps to sanitize the High Court surroundings. Important cases are being heard through video conference while all the other files are being moved to the judicial academy. We haven’t yet heard any word from the officials regarding when the High Court might be reopened.

The total coronavirus cases in Telangana have gone past 27,000. Hyderabad alone has more than 20,000 coronavirus cases, making it a red zone.
