Movie Distribution is a cat on wall business, but there is this overseas Distributor, Phars Film International, it has invested Rs 200 Crores on RRR, Darbar, Syeraa and Saaho.
Phars Film International, a Dubai based Distribution company has invested roughly Rs 200 Crores on Overseas Distribution of South Indian movies. All the biggies overseas deals have been snatched by them. Earlier they released Saaho, they bought Saaho rights for around Ra 42 Crores. Similarly, RRR rights have been bagged for whopping Rs 75 Crores. Darbar Overseas rights for around Rs 35 Crores and Syeraa Rights for Rs 18 Crores.
Already, Saaho turned to be a disaster and has left a huge loss to this Distribution company. Still, there seems like no stopping them. However even if any of this one movie gets worked out, they might be covering the losses. Added, wide release they are Providing has made the makers to trust this Distribution house. Saaho had a fantastic release throughout worldwide. Except for the high ticket pricing in North America. Seems like a bug player has entered the market. It is also rumoured, Phars Film International is soon going to enter film production also.
