Mahesh Babu is returning to commercial genre after repeatedly doing emotional dramas for a while. Makers have highly publicized Sarileru Neekevvaru as mass masala Entertainer. This is the first big ticket movie for Anil Ravipudi with a star hero. Similarly, first movie for Rashmika alongside of star hero.

Story:

Ajay Krishna (Mahesh Babu), a military officer travels to Kurnool to meet Ajay(Satyadev) family. At Kurnool, Ajay Krishna comes to know that Ajay mother Bharathi(Vijayashanti) along with her family is missing. Narendra (Prakash Raj) is the behind reason for creating problems to Ajay family. Ajay Krishna gets to the rescue of Bharati and her family. Whether Ajay Krishna succeded or not is the rest of story.

Positives:

Mahesh Babu is a complete package

Vijayashanti performance

Interval episode

Mahesh Dance in Mind block Song

Negatives:

Poor writing and Narration

Lag in the second half

Climax

Devi Sri Prasad

Rashmika Mandanna Over acting

Analysis:

Anil Ravipudi has partly succeded, as he has brought some good heroism from Mahesh Babu, but at the same time, he has failed with narration. After a decent first half, Anil Ravipudi completely misses the rhythm in second half and gets worse towards the climax, we wish atleast he had an proper idea.

Sarileru Neekevvaru has nothing new to offer with its story. Its like a same coffee you drink every morning in different type of cups. Basically, Sarileru Neekevvaru also has a same base storyline similar to Maharshi with different Characterisations and purposes.

Anil Ravipudi succeded well in projecting Mahesh Babu as mass hero with good heroism elements and dances. His x factor comedy has been a let down. The much hyped train episode ends to be a pain.

Mahesh has delivered a performance which he had already done with movies like Dookudu and Aagadu. The fact here is, Mahesh doing such mass roles after a gap has worked well. Fans might like the comic timing and heroism of Mahesh Babu. His dance moves in Mind block song is good.

Rashmika Mandanna, what a waste Characterisation, Rashmika character is only to pull down the pace of the narration. To make it even worst, Rashmika facial expressions and over action was very awkward. She has been overrated to play in Sarileru Neekevvaru alongside star hero. The chemistry between Mahesh and Rashmika was very odd and doesn’t work well

Vijayashanti has delivered a stunning performance. Her elegancy and aura is intact even today, as Chiranjeevi said in pre release event. She picked a perfect role for comeback.

Rajendra Prasad was under used, Rao Ramesh has his moments, most of the other actors haven’t been utilized properly.

Prakash Raj Villian character is one which u can resemble to early 2000’s mass masala Villian Characters, Comic mixed Villian character. At parts, it is enjoyable. But as a actor, Prakash Raj haven’t had much to offer.

Devi Sri Prasad has delivered another disaster with his work. Neither the songs or BGM doesn’t leave a mark. It’s high time, DSP takes a break and work on his skills.

Ratnavelu Cinematography in interval episode is mind blowing. The frames he kept for Mahesh are perfect. Though there are some glitches, interval episode is enough to forget the rest glitches.

Bottomline:

Formula based mass masala Entertainer. Might work with fans and may not leave much appeal with general audience. Given the season, commercial success won’t be a issue.
