As the leak took place in midnight hours, people trapped inside the house are feared to be dead in Gopalapatnam region, since it has been more than 6 hours from gas leak started. Officials are trying to get inside the locked houses. Gas leak is making the things more difficult for Officials to evacuate.

The gas leaked from LG polymers majorly affecting the nervous and respiratory systems. People affected are complaining more about breathing related problems. Government Officials and Vizag Collector are trying to procure more oxygen cylinders and mobile ventilators to keep it available to affected. The management of this south Korean based company, LG Polymers, are yet to respond. Police has already filed a complaint.

The chemical gas leakage from LG Polymers industry started in the early hours of Thursday. Public within the radius of 3 kms at Gopalpatnam and venkatapuram region in Vizag are under panic.

Meanwhile, many have fell unconscious after inhaling the gas spread in the air. People have also started complaining about the rashes on the body and breathing problems since the leak started. Police have rushed to the area and are involved in evacuating the public to a safer place. By then, many people on the roads have fell unconscious. Gopalapatnam police have found around 50 people on the roads under unconscious state. Police are facing problems in shifting the affected people to hospitals because of the gas effect. Even the police officials and fire department officials are facing difficulty to get inside the region for evacuation of public.

The exact details about the type of chemical gas leakage is yet to be determined. Officials are trying to contact the management of the LG polymers. The public of the region is under severe panic attack. Since this is an unprecedented happening, the officials don’t even have the safety gears to enter the leakage region. More details are awaited. The high court gave a month of time to AP Government to file a counter with all the explanations on this G.O.

An elder woman, resident of Chilakapalle Village, Balijipeta Mandal of Vizianagaram district has tested positive for Coronavirus. This is the first case of Coronavirus reported in the Vizianagaram district. So far, Vizianagaram was the only district in Andhra Pradesh without single Coronavirus positive case. With today, Vizianagaram will also be moved into orange zone.

The elder woman tested positive for Coronavirus in Vizianagaram was asymptomatic. She was found to be positive when tested at Vizag hospital while she went their as a regular check-up for her kidney related problem. The officials are doubting that she could’ve contacted the disease from her son. However, the contact tracing hasn’t done so far with regard to this women. As of now, whole of her family has been quarantined and primary contacts are being traced. Vizianagaram case is a shock since the district had no cases so far.

Vizianagaram case is an example that Government should start testing the communities irrespective of any aspect. There must be several such asymptomatic cases contacted from unknown sources. If Government doesn’t change its approach in testing, there would be a huge outbreak with the Asymptomatic cases.

The Road Transport Department of Andhra Pradesh is working strictly and collecting fines if the passengers are not wearing masks while traveling on roads. The Traffic -E-challans are being sent to the owners of the respective vehicles.

With the coronavirus entering stage 3 in India, it looks like the governments have become more alert. The Governments are trying in every possible way to restrict and minimize the movement of people. And correspondingly, the Andhra Pradesh government has come up with a new idea. The Government of Andhra Pradesh is collecting fine for not wearing a mask. The Road Transport Department is sending E-challans to owners of the respective vehicles if they are caught traveling without masks.

The government is charging a fine of Rs 735 for not wearing a mask. Consequently, the government of Telangana also adopted the idea and is charging the fine. The Telangana state government is charging Rs 535 for the same. The government officials are expressing their hope that collecting fines might help to a little extent in controlling the public. In addition, this will also add up to the states’ falling income.

On the other hand, the number of coronavirus cases in Andhra Pradesh has crossed 1700. Telangana comparatively has lesser cases with the tally standing at 1096 as of now. The main reason for the low cost of Mosambi in Andhra Pradesh is the lack of transport to other states, same with the tomatoes too.

The cost of Tomatoes and Mosambi in the market is a complete shock. The cost of 25Kg Mosambi is just Rs 300, generally, the cost would be around Rs 700- 900. The rate at which the Mosambis are being sold won’t even recover the cost kept for cultivation. Tomatoes cost is even more sad story, 5Kg tomatoes are being sold for Rs 4. Looking at the rates few farmers aren’t interested to harvest the tomatoes at the least, because they have to pay the labour.

Ys Jagan led Andhra Pradesh Government has promised the farmers to help them in this dire situation. Centre has also strictly warned the NRIs returning to India should undergo Covid19 screening as well a mandatory 14 days quarantine.

Further, centre has also fixed the air charges to the NRIs based on the nation from which they are returning. NRIs returning from USA to India will have to pay a flight charge of Rs 1 lak around, NRIs in Europe have to pay Rs 50,000. Similar charges have been decided for the Indians residing in gulf countries too. Indian government has decided to bring the NRIs from nearby island nations like Maldives through the naval ships.

Meanwhile, few opposition parties and state leaders have expressed their disagreement in bringing back the NRIs. Kerala CM Pinarai Vijaya has feared about the second outbreak in the state if the NRIs are brought back. But this hike doesn’t look like something to restrict the rush, it just looks like the hike to bulk up the state revenue. Andhra Pradesh hiked the liquor prices by 25% yesterday and by 75% today. Still nothing has changed in bringing the social distancing among the public.

Telangana Chief Minister KCR is addressing the most Crucial press meet right now in which he has already announced the Lockdown in telangana will continue till May 29. In the Press meet, KCR announced that only 11 cases have been registered today. KCR further added that 628 patients have been discharged so far and only 439 cases are active right now in the state. KCR shared some key comparisons between state and nation, he showed that the death rate in Telangana is less than the average in the nation.

Coming to the zones, KCR revealed that the state has only 6 districts in red, while 18 in orange and 9 in green. KCR confidently told the media that in the next 11 days, those 18 districts in orange zone will also come into green zone.

Ys Jagan has fixed the date for Jagananna colonies ‘Pedalandariki Illu’ free plots distribution scheme. Initially this scheme was supposed to be launched on March 25, auspicious day of Ugadi. But due to the Coronavirus outbreak and election code in existence this scheme had to get postponed. Later, Ys Jagan fixed April 14, Ambedkar Jayanthi, to Distribute the Jagananna colonies free plot. As the Coronavirus outbreak continued to increase, lockdown was prolonged and Ys Jagan couldn’t take forward the scheme even on April 14.

Later the discussion about this become silent for a while as the state was busy with the Coronavirus battle. Free plot distribution is the dream scheme and Trump card for Ys Jagan. Jagan isn’t ready to compromise this scheme at any cost. Today again, Ys Jagan had a detailed discussion about the implementation of this scheme. After the meeting it is announced that the Jagananna colonies free plots distribution scheme will take place on July 8.

With respect to this scheme, the Government has already procured 6,000 acres of land. Through this scheme 25 lakhs poor will get benefitted. While the state is already in financial stress another freebie is only more burden to the Government is the common opinion among the public.

The Chhattisgarh state government today has launched the Liquor home delivery scheme. With the liquor shops posting threats to the social distancing, the government decided to directly deliver liquor to the home. The Chhattisgarh government has also started an exclusive online web portal for this and is taking the orders.

It is already known that as per the guidelines released by the Central government, liquor shops were reopened yesterday all over India. The first day sales were humungous and have completely exceeded all the expectations. Mind-boggling numbers of around 45 Crores INR and 60 Crores INR were reported from the state governments of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh respectively. Even though this seems nice to hear, the social distancing concerns posted by this are horrifying. If even a small thing goes wrong, the whole country will be doomed.

In order to nullify such chances, the Chhattisgarh government came up with a unique concept of Liquor home delivery. The Chhattisgarh government has also started an exclusive online web portal for this. This portal named CSMCL (Chhattisgarh State Marketing Corporation Limited) will be working round the clock from today. The Government will be giving the home delivery with a delivery charge of 120 Rs.

This is a very good initiative and other state governments also must welcome such ideas. Delivering liquor directly to homes decreases the crowding so much and helps to keep up the primary goal of fighting coronavirus alive.

Poovalliyum Kunjadum fame Young Malayalam Actor Basil George passed away in a tragic car accident. Along with Basil George, two others travelling in the car, Joy and Nidhin, also lost their lives in the accident. This tragic accident took place on Sunday, May 3, Basil George was admitted to hospital. His body wasn’t responding to the treatment and the doctors had to pronounce Basil George dead. While two others Nidhin and Joy lost their lives on spot.

A total of 8 member’s were travelling in the car from Kolencherry to Muttupuzha. Rest of the 5 members travelling in the car have also faced severe injuries. They are admitted in hospital and are under treatment. It is said that, due to the over speeding, car lost control and hit the electric pole. After hitting the Electric pole, the car further dashed the nearby building. Immediately after the accident, the local people nearby have came for the help.

Thic accident has shook the Malayalam industry as well as the public. Basil George debut movie Poovalliyum Kunjadum released on August 2019 was a average grosser at the box office. George is said to be working on a untitled project right now. It is unfortunate that such young lives had to be lost.

The GO No 623 with regard to Grama Panchayat building paints passed by the YSRCP Government has been suspended by the Andhra Pradesh high court. It is a shock after shock to the Andhra Pradesh Government from High court today. Already earlier the day, high court has served notice to 5 YSRCP MLAs with regard to lockdown violation. In a quick succession another shock came to YSRCP Government from the high Court in the form of Go No 623 getting suspended.

Already High court and Supreme court gave rigid warning to YSRCP led Andhra Pradesh government in the same issue. YSRCP Government painted all the Panchayat buildings in the state to YSRCP flag colour. With local body Elections in the corner, high court ordered the YSRCP Government to remove the YSRCP colour paint from Grama Panchayat buildings. But, YSRCP went for a appeal in the supreme Court. Supreme court in its decision stood on same line with the high court.

With nothing else left to do, Andhra Pradesh Government released a tactical GO, Go No 623. In that GO, YSRCP led Andhra Pradesh government defined a specific meaning to each colour painted in the Grama Panchayat buildings. The intend of YSRCP was understandable that paint on Grama Panchayat buildings aren’t YSRCP flag colours and just normal colours. Andhra Pradesh high court analyzing the intention’s of YSRCP Government suspended the GO NO 623. At this point, YSRCP Government has no other go except to repaint.

Andhra Pradesh high court has served a notice to 5 YSRCP MLAs with regard to lockdown violation. An advocate named Kishore has filed a PIL last week in the high court with regard to lockdown violation of YSRCP MLAs. Kishore had filed the PIL including the names of following YSRCP MLAs,

• SriKalahasti MLA Madhusudhan Reddy for tractor rally,
• Nagari MLA Roja for tap opening,
• Sullurpet MLA Sanjeevayya for tractor rally,
• Palamner MLA Venkat Goud for Culvert opening,
• Chilakaluripeta MLA Vidadala Rajini for several reasons.

This PIL came to the hearing today, after considering the proofs of lockdown violation done by this YSRCP MLAs, high court has given some crucial directions to the Government. High court has directed the Government to file a counter along with the details of action taken against this ruling party MLAs with regard to violation.

High court also trashed the MLAs for behaving lethargically Inspite of being public representatives. This is just another embarrassment to the YSRCP Government from the high court. However, so far the Government hasn’t taken any action against it’s MLAs for violating the lockdowns. Instead, YSRCP led Andhra Pradesh Government alwats tried to justify the lockdown violation. At least, this notice from high court should be a lesson to the YSRCP MLAs for violating the Lockdown.
