A list which no hero/ director will wish to top or present. It’s very unfortunate to have several disasters from Telugu film industry. That too, our Super Star Mahesh Babu’s ‘Spyder’, is an all time Indian disaster just behind Bollywood’s ‘Bombay Velvet’.

Market expansion Post Baahubali had not only helped movies to collect well. But also, it has made heros and directors to go greedy over the business. Without thinking about the result of the movie, selling some scrap projects for 100+ Crores by cashing on the combo craze is a result of this disasters.

End of the day, it’s the Distributor and exhibitor who suffer, not the hero or director or producer. There are few heros in the industry, who opt for family vacations inspite of the result. Such is the dedication towards their work and outcome. There are few other heros, who make movies in budget, sell it for nominal costs and look after that everyone involved her safe. Such heros doesn’t top the list.

Distributor’s must also think twice before buying a project for high cost. Finally, it’s the Distributor’s who are indirectly encouraging the greed of the hero, producer and director.

Tollywood Market has expanded several times post Baahubali. All the credits must be given to SS Rajamouli for expanding the market level. With the expanded market, Tollywood producers and heros are daring to any extreme for bringing out the best projects with good scripts.

Heros like Ram Charan, Jr NTR and Mahesh Babu had captivated well on this market expansion. Ram Charan Rangasthalam collected a humongous 112 Crores post Baahubali 2. Similarly, every movie of Jr NTR collected above 75 Crores, while Aravindha Sametha went to collect 100 Crore plus Worldwide. Even Mahesh Babu, inspite of several flops and Disasters Mahesh has two movie above 80Crore shares.

Surprisingly, Victory Venkatesh scorer 85Crore plus movie. Undoubtedly content and Venkatesh Played a key role in F2 success, still market expansion has also helped in big time. Though Chiranjeevi has a 100 crore movie with Khaidi No 150, there are several controversies around the figure. So, if at all genuine, only Venkatesh from Senior heros has a 85 Crore plus movie.

The clear dominance of Pawan Kalyan and Jr NTR is well visible in the top 12 opening day records of AP and TG. Both have 3 Movies in the top 12. While Prabhas and Ram Charan have 2 for each. Mahesh babu, Chiranjeevi have one movie each.

However Prabhas with Baahubali 2 holds the top spot, Aravindha Sametha starring Jr NTR holds the Non Baahubali 2 Record for Day 1 AP/TG shares. Agnyathavaasi falls 3rd, a little shot of Aravindha Sametha. The only movie from 2019 to be in the list is Vinaya Vidheya Rama at 5th place, way behind Non-BB2 record.

To the shock Mahesh has only one movie in Top 12, that too Bharat Ane Nenu at 10th place. Infact the movies released in past years of other stars are ahead of Bharat Ane Nenu.
